Dozens of teams are participating in the Mui Dinh Challenge 2019 which is being held in the southern province of Ninh Thuan.

Dozens of pick-up trucks and SUVs participate in the Mui Dinh Challenge 2019 in the southern province of Ninh Thuan on April 29.
The two-day off-road car race which kicked off on April 29 during the Ninh Thuan Grape and Wine Festival 2019 features two categories of pick-up trucks with 22 teams and SUVs with 11 teams.

The award for King of Desert valued at VND100 million (4,348) will go to the team with the highest point total from the two categories.

Loo won the Rainforest Challenge in Malaysia and Borneo Safari International Offroad Challenge. He has also created many racetracks for events in Malaysia. Loo designed tracks for the Vietnam 4x4 Challenge 2017 in Quang Binh Province.
Participants can also enjoy other sports on the sidelines of the event including surfing and jet skiing.
Speaking at a ceremony held on April 29, vice director of Ninh Thuan Province's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ho Si Son, said that the event was expected to promote tourism in the province and was intended to attract more visitors.
"The Mui Dinh Challenge 2019 will bring a new and unique experience for visitors to Ninh Thuan," the official said. "We always welcome more investors to help develop tourism industry in the province."
