Hanoi Railway Transport JS Company runs more trains from Hanoi to Dong Hoi, Vinh, Lao Cai and Haiphong.
The railway sector will add dozens of trains to meet higher demand during the coming National Day holiday.
Specifically, on August 31, Train QB1 will leave Hanoi Station at 8:15 pm and arrive at Dong Hoi Station at 6:30 am the next day. On September 3, Train QB2 will leave Dong Hoi Station at 3:15 pm and arrive at Hanoi Station at 4 pm.
Trains will be added to the Hanoi-Vinh route from August 31 to September 4, using Train Service SE35/SE36 for daily operation.
The extra train service for the Hanoi-Lao Cai route will be the SP1/SP2 on August 31 and September 3.
Saigon Railway JS Company will also provide more trains on the HCM City-Quy Nhon route between August 30 and September 4.
On the National Day holiday, discounts for social policy beneficiaries, including Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, war veterans, students, and trade union members will still be applied. Children under 6 years old will travel for free when accompanied by an adult, and those aged from 6 to 10 will enjoy a 25 percent discount.
