Top Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh will compete at the 2013 Malaysia Open from January 15-20. Minh is seeded number four after host Lee Chong Wei, and Tago Kenichi and Sho Sasaki from Japan.
The Malaysia Open, one of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Superseries of events, has a total cash prize of US$400,000.
Before the tournament, Minh will take part in the Korea Open Super Series Premier from January 8-13.
Participating in two successive open events Minh hopes to gain valuable points in the top 10 of the BWF rankings.
