Badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh is still placed 14th in the latest Badminton World Federation rankings, despite winning the 2012 Vietnam Yonex Sunrise Open.
Minh has 51,094 points, a little lower than the 13th Son Wan Ho from the Republic of Korea (51,405).
The list of 17 top players remains unchanged as August saw no important international competition but the tournament in Vietnam, which did not attract many strong opponents. Minh, who was then the World No.11 took the lead.
After his success at the Vietnam Open, which earned him a total cash prize of US$3,750 and another 5,000 points, Minh is now busy preparing for the upcoming 2012 Yonex Open Japan, scheduled to start on September 18.
