Ki took the lead in the first despite fierce counter-attack from Minh, who successfully equalized the score at 13-13 but then was beaten 13-21 in the end.
In the second one Minh made all-out efforts to win 21-12.
In the third set Ki recovered to create an 18-12 gap and his opponent had to quit due to his injury.
Minh is scheduled to participate in the 2013 Malaysia Open in Kuala Lumpur from January 15-20, where he is seeded No.3.
