In the early morning of February 6 at 23/9 Park in Ben Thanh Ward, lorries rolled in carrying thousands of colourful flower pots and ornamental plants for the Lunar New Year rush.
Traders arriving from the Mekong Delta, central Vietnam and the far north worked through the night arranging flower pots as the Tet market in central Ho Chi Minh City gathered pace.
Hoang, a chrysanthemum trader from Ben Tre Province, said his family brought over 200 flower pots to Ho Chi Minh City to sell for Tet.
Huynh Ngoc Son, 46, a veteran flower trader from Khanh Hoa Province, said his family sent around 30 lorry-loads of flowers to the city for Tet, working overnight to prepare them for sale.
The management board of 23/9 Park deployed security personnel to be on duty, guiding and coordinating flower lorries entering and exiting the staging area, ensuring order and safety.
Not only flowers from the Mekong Delta, but also fresh peach branches from northern provinces travelled thousands of kilometres to be part of the Tet flower market in Ho Chi Minh City.
Large chrysanthemum pots were also brought by traders from various provinces to Ho Chi Minh City for Tet sales.
The area around 23/9 Park is one of the main collection points for various flowers and ornamental plants from across the provinces for sale during the Tet 2026 period.
Traders worked strenuously, transporting all the flowers from their vehicles to display them at the park overnight.

In addition to northern peach blossoms, marigolds, cockscomb, and other flower varieties were also brought from the Mekong Delta provinces to Ho Chi Minh City for Tet sales.

For many traders, Tet marks a year of hard work, as overnight flower deliveries carry hopes of a prosperous New Year.
