The Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board said it had completed the connection and commissioning of all 22kV feeder lines linking the airport's 110kV substation to its power receiving station.

The move is expected to ensure a stable and uninterrupted electricity supply for trial operations and the integrated operation of the airport's technical infrastructure systems.
The VND 158 billion (USD 6 million) project, completed in late 2025, comprises a 110kV substation, a 3.8-km dual-circuit transmission line, two transformers with a total capacity of 80 MVA and six 22kV feeders serving the airport.

The substation operates without on-site staff and is fully digitalised, using a remote monitoring and control system based on SCADA technology and international IEC 61850 standards.
The construction site consumes around 730,000 kWh of electricity per month, and the new substation is expected to support ongoing works and preparations for trial operations, according to the project management board.
