A bomb weighing 250 kilogrammes has been detected at a shrimp farm in the southernmost province of Ca Mau.

According to local authorities, Pham Van That from U Minh Town saw the bomb while dredging his shrimp farm.

The MK82 bomb is 1.6 metres long and has a diameter of 30 centimetres. It has been left from the American war.

The bomb has been relocated to a military site for detonations.
