Lang Son border gates suspend customs clearance for Tet holiday

Import-export activities at many border gates in Lang Son Province will be suspended or only clear pre-registered goods during the Lunar New Year or Tet 2026 holiday.

According to information from the Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board, the People's Government of Pingxiang City and the People's Government of Ningming County (Guangxi, China) have sent official letters to Lang Son Province regarding the temporary suspension of customs clearance for goods at border gates between the two sides during the Lunar New Year holiday in 2026.

China will suspend customs clearance procedures for goods from February 15 to 23 (from the 28th day of the 12th lunar month of 2025 to the 7th day of the 1st lunar month of 2026).

From February 19 to 23, customs clearance will be processed for pre-registered import and export goods. Normal operations will resume from February 24. Passenger entry and exit will continue as usual.

At the Chi Ma bilateral border gate, from February 15 to 23, Chinese authorities will only process customs clearance for pre-registered import and export shipments.

At the Na Hinh border gate, Chinese authorities have announced a Lunar New Year holiday from February 15 to 23.

For entry and exit activities via Huu Nghi International Border Gate, from February 15 to 23, Chinese authorities will only process procedures from 10 am to 3 pm (Beijing time), which is 9 am to 2 pm (Hanoi time).

Starting from February 24, authorities at all border gates will resume normal customs clearance for goods and entry/exit procedures.

During the Lunar New Year holiday in 2026, customs officers at these border gates will remain on duty to receive pre-registered customs declarations from import and export businesses.

After the holiday, authorities at Lang Son Province's border gates will facilitate maximum customs clearance for goods, particularly promoting Vietnamese exports.
