A landslide in the central province of Quang Ngai on Monday evening buried part of a local hydropower plant and left one worker missing.
The incident occurred around 6:30 pm at Ka Tinh 1 Hydropower Plant in Tra Bong District’s Tra Lam Commune.
Over the past two days, Tra Bong District has faced torrential rain, causing severe flooding in the locality.
A mountain collapsed apparently burying one turbine of the Ka Tinh Hydropower Plant and leaving one plant worker missing.
Local authorities are trying to look for the missing.
Vehicles have been arranged to clear the landslide from the plant.
More landslides could continue happening in Tra Bong.
The ongoing rain has posed difficulties for the rescue.
