
The incident occurred at around 2:30 pm on Sunday in the area which runs Da M’ri Town in Da Huoai District.

As a result, dozens of rock and soil blocks slid down, covering the entire road surface of the pass, on which the Madaguoi traffic police station is located. Part of the station was buried, leaving four people, including the three traffic policemen missing.

Local authorities mobilised hundreds of vehicles and around 300 people for the rescue.

Many relatives of the victims were also present at the scene to follow the search.

All the equipment was used at full capacity for the rescue.

As of 10 pm on Sunday, the bodies of three police officers were found. Meanwhile, until noon on Monday, the body of the fourth victim named Pham Ngoc Anh was discovered. He was buried while helping evacuate some local residents.
