The 2017 Japanese Film Festival is scheduled to take place from October 27, 2017 to January 14, 2018 in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, featuring eleven films from various genres.

The films to be screened include An (screening in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City only), Tsukiji Wonderland (screening in Ho Chi Minh City only), Her Love Boils Bathwater, Long Excuse, Rudolf the Black Cat, Asian Three-Fold Mirror 2016: Reflections, Tora-san of Goto, Daytime Shooting Star, ReLIFE, Survival Family, and Honnouji Hotel.
All films will be screened with both English and Vietnamese subtitles.
The ticket prices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will be VND30,000 (approx. US$1.35). The films will be shown at the National Cinema Centre in Hanoi and the CineStar Hai Ba Trung in Ho Chi Minh City, while admission will be free at Le Do Cinema in Da Nang.
The Japanese Film festival has already become a popular annual event, in the autumn and winter, of the Japan Foundation.
The organisers hope that many audiences will enjoy these Japanese films and deepen their interest in Japanese culture through the Japanese Film Festival 2017.
