Japan aids education in Thanh Hoa, Nam Dinh

The Japanese Government will give 243,000 USD to the expansion of a secondary school in central Thanh Hoa province and the building of a new primary school in northern Nam Dinh province.

The Japanese Government will give 243,000 USD to the expansion of a secondary school in central Thanh Hoa province and the building of a new primary school in northern Nam Dinh province.

An agreement on the sum, which is in the form of non-refundable aid, was signed in Hanoi on June 14.

The benefiting schools, Yen My Secondary School in Nong Cong commune, Thanh Hoa province, and Goi Primary School in Goi town, Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province were severely dilapidated, affecting the safety and health of students and teachers as well. 

Speaking at the event, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yasuaki Tanizaki expressed his belief that the projects will improve local education and train human resources for the development of Vietnam as well as boosting the relationship and understanding between Vietnam and Japan.-
