International cycling tournament kicks off in Da Nang
The VTV international cycling tournament – Ton Hoa Sen Cup kicked off in Da Nang city on August 24, with Tran Nguyen Duy Nhan of the 7 Military Zone winning the yellow jersey of the first stage.

Desrias Loic of Thailand’s Sict team came in second while Trinh Duc Tam of An Giang’s Gao Hat Ngoc Troi finished in third place after racers cycled the Vo Nguyen Giap street 25 times with a total length of 50 kilometres.
The tournament attracts 75 cyclists from 15 teams, including two foreign teams from Laos and Thailand. It has 10 stages with a total length of 1,050 kilometres and will end in Hanoi on September 2.
The tournament is one of the events celebrating the National Day (September 2), and aims to encourage the cycling movement nationwide.
The organising board will also present 28,000 gift packages of school bags and notebooks to industrious students in schools on the itinerary of the race and 120 bicycles for disadvantage students at each province which is home to the finish line.
