Danish Ambassador John Nelsen said over 200 runners from more than 28 countries, including the UK, France, United States, China, Singapore and Vietnam have registered to take part in the event.
Organisers have announced three routes: a half-marathon (21km), full marathon (42km) and ultra-marathon (68km) which pass through the local communes of Thanh Kim, Su Pan, Ta Phin and Hau Thao, where runners can enjoy Sapa's beautiful landscape and stunning panoramas.
The ambassador praised local authorities for supporting the marathon organisation and hoped it will be an annual event.
