The HCM City Department of Health will carry out a rehearsal for the reopening of a field hospital for Covid-19 treatment.
Field Hospital 13, which is located in Binh Chanh District’s Binh Hung Commune, has 100 beds to receive Covid-19 patients in critical condition.
According to the municipal Department of Health, the rehearsal will be carried out during the coming Tet Lunar New Year, between January 20-26, based on a new Covid-19 sub-variant outbreak.
In this situation, many hospitals in HCM City would see a Covid-19 patient surge. The HCM City Hospital for Tropical Diseases has been assigned to arrange medical workers and equipment for Field Hospital 13.
The 115 Emergency Centre should coordinate with hospitals to ensure the transport of severe Covid-19 cases from small healthcare establishments or from the community to Field Hospital 13.
The department added that Field Hospital 13 would need 54 doctors and 108 nurses.
