Under HCM City’s Waterway Tourism Plan for the 2023-2025 Period, the city would build a 10-kilometre boat route linking Bach Dang Wharf in District 1 and Thanh Da Wharf in Binh Thanh District and Binh Quoi Wharf in Thu Duc City.

Another inner-city route is the 13 kilometres from Bach Dang Wharf to Ngoi Sao Viet Wharf in District 7 and Cu Lao Xanh Wharf in Nha Be District.
The express boat service from Saigon-Hiep Phuoc Port in HCM City’s Nha Be District to Con Dao to Con Son Bay in Ba Ria-Vung Tau’s Con Dao District would be roughly 225 kilometres long.
People mainly travel to Con Dao by flights which use small airplanes with quite expensive tickets.
The route from Bach Dang Wharf to Thu Dau Mot City in Binh Duong and Duoc Wharf in Cu Chi District would be 79 kilometres long. Some facilities on the route have been built to operate the route in the 2024-2025 period.
