Hanoi to host Europe-Asia contemporary dance

The Goethe Institute has announced that Hanoi will reprise its hosting role for September’s “Europe meets Asia in Contemporary Dance" festival.

The Goethe Institute has announced that following great success in 2011 and 2012, Hanoi will reprise its hosting role for September’s “Europe meets Asia in Contemporary Dance" festival.

Under the direction of German choreographer Anna Konjetzky, six German and six Vietnamese dancers will perform the piece "On Edge".

Anna Konjetzky and ballet master Sahra Huby will hold a one-week workshop for Vietnamese dancers in Hanoi to prepare for their upcoming performance.

The Goethe Institute will also organise a talk with the German choreographer at 7pm on February 21.

Anna Konjetzky was born in 1980 in Munich and is one of Germany’s most famous young choreographers.

She graduated from the International Physical Theatre School "Lassaad" (Methode J. Lecoq) in Brussels and undertook further study in contemporary dance, Butoh, and Body Weather in Brussels and Berlin.
