Vu Quang National Park released 53 animals back into the wild on July 20.

Among the released animals there were seven rhesus macaques, 15 pig-tailed macaques, one red-faced macaques, 23 turtles, a lizard, and six Indian Pythons. The critically endangered, precious and rare wild animals in need of special protection, had been handed over to the park by organisations and individuals for better care and monitoring before being released.

Since the beginning of this year, Vu Quang National Park has received, rescued and released back to the wild some 300 animals.

Lying some 60 kilometres northwest of Ha Tinh City, Vu Quang National Park is home to 94 mammal species, 315 bird species, 58 reptiles, 31amphibians, and 88 boney fish, among others.
