The school, built by Agribank with a cost of over 10 billion VND (445,000 USD), is a two-storey building with eight classrooms and one management facility.
Teachers and students have dreamt of a spacious school for a long time, principal Do Xuan Hai said, adding that they used to teach and study in battered and cramped classrooms.
At the event, provincial authorities, the local Department of Education and Training and a series of banks and enterprises presented gifts to disadvantaged ethnic students with outstanding achievements in the previous academic year.
On the same day, Agribank donated 5 billion VND (222,500 USD) to Bac Me district for the construction of the Hoa Hong kindergarten in Yen Phu town.
