According to the Ho Chi Minh City Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR), thefts have happened on an elevated section running from Thao Dien to Suoi Tien stations. The thieves have been identified and handed over to the local police.

Hoang Mai Tung, deputy director of the MAUR, said that the unit has added more cameras and lights in the fenced areas and dark corners. Security in these areas has also been doubled with the increased frequency of patrols.
Guard dogs have been used to serve the patrol work at the project.
Trains at the construction site were previously covered in graffiti. The project saw two thefts with the disappearance of some technical equipment, including grounding wires and rail clips.
