The male gaur weighing around 700 kilos was thought to have died some 2-3 days ago.

The gaur found dead at Dong Nai Culture and Nature Reserve
The anatomy indicated that the animal faced infection and left lung injuries. Authorities are investigating the animal’s cause of death.
According to Dong Nai Forest Protection Agency, the reserve is now home to around 40-50 gaurs which live in 4-5 groups.
In February 2016, rangers had found a 200-kilo male gaur dead at the reserve. Then police arrested two men in nearby Binh Phuoc Province, who later admitted to poaching the gaur.
Some two weeks later, another guar at the reserve also died of disease.
