This was the first international cruise line to arrive in the locality following a three-year suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The tourists on the cruise ship arrived in Ha Long
Ha Long is part of the cruise ship’s tour to Vietnam this time. The ship previously travelled to Con Dao Island in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, HCM City, Nha Trang City in Khanh Hoa, Quy Nhon City in Binh Dinh, Tien Sa Port in Danang City, Chan May Port in Thua Thien-Hue City and Hon La Port in Quang Binh.
Maria Scherer, a 90-year-old visitor from France, said that she was very happy when being warmly welcomed by Vietnamese people during the trip.
During their stay in Ha Long, tourists will visit Ha Long Museum, Ha Long Bay and enjoy shopping and entertainment activities in the city. They will leave the city on Friday.
Quang Ninh’s Department of Tourism Deputy Director Nguyen Thuy Yen said they picked up around 80 other, mostly French, foreign travellers in Ha Long on Thursday, who came to Vietnam earlier by air and will take them to explore many coastal areas in the country.
