The four-lane Tan Phu–Bao Loc Expressway will span 65.88 kilometres, linking Tan Phu District in Dong Nai Province with Bao Loc City in Lam Dong Province. The route includes 11.91 kilometres in Dong Nai and 53.97 kilometres in Lam Dong.

The project will require around 500 hectares of land, 86 hectares in Dong Nai and over 414 hectares in Lam Dong, and is scheduled for completion in 2027.

Officials expect the expressway to serve as a key driver of economic development, tourism growth, and national defence enhancement in Lam Dong Province and the broader Central Highlands region.

The new road forms part of the larger Dau Giay–Lien Khuong Expressway network, which will improve connectivity between Lam Dong and the Southeastern region while significantly reducing travel time between Ho Chi Minh City and Dalat.

In a related development, the Lam Dong People’s Committee in late March approved the Bao Loc–Lien Khuong Expressway project. This four-lane, 73-kilometre route will stretch from Loc Phat Ward in Bao Loc City to its junction with the Lien Khuong–Prenn Expressway in Duc Trong District. The project also carries a total investment of nearly VND 18 trillion and is expected to open by 2027.
