The donation came after an article about the family in Cam Xuan District’s Cam Son Commune had been published in the newspaper.
Thuy and her children
Nguyen Thi Thuy, 45, has four children. The eldest is married, while the other three remain small.
Her husband Anh died after a stroke in March. Meanwhile, Thuy has been living with heart problems since 2007, but the family could not afford the treatment.
Hoang Van Hiep, chairman of Cam Son Commune, said Thuy’s family is very poor. Local residents have joined hands to assist them, but this is modest. He hoped that donors can help them to ease difficulties.
