Danang proposes night-shift support for beach rescue teams

Authorities in Danang City are seeking public feedback on a draft resolution proposing financial support for personnel working night shifts at the city’s beaches.

The proposal would apply to civil servants, public employees and contracted workers involved in beach rescue, public order, environmental protection and overnight patrol duties.

Funding for the support scheme would come from the state budget and other lawful financial sources, according to the draft resolution.

The policy is intended to encourage frontline personnel, improve the effectiveness of rescue and emergency response operations, maintain public security and preserve the coastal tourism environment.

Earlier this year, officials said Danang receives large numbers of visitors at night, particularly between 7 pm and 10 pm, increasing pressure on beach management and rescue forces.

Authorities said the city should introduce a special support mechanism to compensate night-shift personnel in line with their workload and responsibilities.
