Danang City Police Department said on May 15 that it had handed over Joo Young Su, a 47-year-old South Korean man, to South Korean authorities.
Earlier, on May 8, Danang City Police received a document from the Ministry of Public Security requesting verification and the arrest of Joo Young Su under an Interpol red notice issued by the organisation's General Secretariat.

Immediately after receiving the information from the Ministry of Public Security, Danang City Police swiftly deployed investigative measures, reviewed the area, monitored the suspect and gathered related intelligence.
Verification showed that Joo Young Su had entered Vietnam and registered temporary residence in Duy Nghia Commune, Danang City, for tourism purposes.
After checks and information verification, Danang Police arrested Joo Young Su on May 11.
