The children who are living and studying at the Hope School in Danang City have gathered to prepare for Tet. They were instructed to make Chung cake.

Seventh-grader Le Khanh Vy said that this was the first time she made Chung cake and she was happy that she did it well. "I’ll bring some home to put on my father's altar," she said.

The school also organised a Tet fair for the children to share their products.

They could also take part in many games and competitions.

Teachers also held a small fireworks display during a pre-Tet party.

Pham Van Nam, Ninh, and Cuong have become close friends after studying in the same class.

Second-grader Trung Minh sent his thanks and best wishes to the teachers for their love and care at the pre-Tet party.

The children were given gifts before returning to their hometown for Tet Holiday.

Founded by FPT and the Hope Foundation, the boarding school is home to children orphaned by Covid-19, and the 2022-2023 school year was the first for more than 200 Hope School students from 41 cities and provinces nationwide.
