The con-joined twins who were successfully separated by nearly 100 doctors after a 12-hour-operation were today discharged from hospital after three months of miracle recovery.

The con-joined twins are discharged from hospital on October 7.
Speaking at the ceremony, Doctor Truong Quang Dinh, director of the hospital said that the little girls have made a miracle recovery over the past three months since the surgery.
"Now they are both well enough to return home with their family," the doctor said. "We doctors here will miss them a lot but we are all happy for them and their family."
The two little girls had separate internal organs but were joined at the pelvis. Nearly 100 doctors and nurses from leading hospitals nationwide joined in the 12-hour operation to separate them on July 15.
According to the doctor, after the post-surgery treatment of three months, their injuries after the separation have almost recovered. The babies have seen great improvement during their physiotherapy.
Attending the ceremony, director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, Doctor Nguyen Tan Binh praised the efforts of local doctors who participated in this case.
"This operation had the largest number of participating doctors so far in the country and we recorded one more big achievement," he said. "There were many challenges and some difficulties during the operation but they have overcome through their major efforts."

The doctors who participated in the surgery were given awards.
At the ceremony, the twins' father, Hoang Anh sent his sincere thanks to the doctors for giving his children a chance to have normal bodies.

The father holds one of the girls at the ceremony.
"We are very happy and we just can’t express enough our gratitude to the doctors," he said.
According to the doctors, the twin girls are developing well at their age at 72 centimetres tall and 7.7kg and 8kg in weight.
