A Chinese tourist nearly drowned in Danang
Police reports said that the tourist began struggling when swimming at the beach near Vo Nguyen Giap Street, at around 4.30 pm. Lifeguards from Danang City and the Son Tra Peninsula ran out after visitors on the beach brought attention to the drowning man in front of the Grand Tourane Hotel.
According to Danang Emergency Medical Centre, the man was able to breathe and the medics also recorded a heartbeat. A Vietnamese woman accompanied him to the hospital but he died later of a suspected stroke.
On October 19, a 65-year-old Chinese man also died after having a stroke at Danang beach.
