Central Highlands wind power investor fined

The violations were uncovered following a recent inspection by the Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority.

Based on a report from the authority, the Kon Tum Department of Construction has issued a fine of VND170 million to Tan Tan Nhat Company.

According to the Kon Tum Department of Construction, Tan Tan Nhat Company failed to properly inform local authorities about the progress of the project.

They started construction on the project when there were no design plans and they had selected an incompetent contractor for the project.

In 2021, Tan Tan Nhat Company was also fined for employing 33 Chinese people including 13 managers, 20 experts and technical workers who did not have work permits.

The Dak Glei Wind Power Plant occupies 24.55 hectares in Dak Glei District. It has an investment of VND1.89 trillion and a capacity of 50MW.
