Bespin Global (https://bespinglobal.com, CEO Han-joo Lee), a cloud delivery platform company, has announced that its Vietnamese subsidiary ‘Bespin Global Vietnam’, signed MOU with Daewoo E&C’s Vietnamese subsidiary ‘THT Development’ and 'MoMo' (https://momo.vn/), a tech unicorn in Vietnam, for the collaboration in smart city business in Vietnam.
Mr Kim Tae Ho, Country Director of Bespin Global Vietnam, Mr Kwun Myeong Jun, Director of Daewoo E&C’s THT Development, Mr Nguyen Ba Diep, Co-Founder of MoMo, sign a Memorandum of Understanding at MoMo office in HCMC, Vietnam.
The MOU was signed to integrate MoMo's smart payment solution with 'THT-BESPIN SMART CITY HUB (Smart City Hub)', a smart city operation & management platform, jointly developed and operated by Bespin Global Vietnam and THT Development. Bespin Global Vietnam, THT Development, and MoMo plan to cooperate with each other based on their respective capabilities to secure leadership in smart city-related business across Vietnam and expand their business to the entire Southeast Asian market.
Bespin Global Vietnam signed an MOU with THT Development in June 2022 to establish a 'Smart City Operation Joint Venture' for data-driven full-scale service of Vietnam's smart city business. In the future, both companies plan to focus their efforts on expanding and supporting the data-driven smart city business, including the operation and management of THT Starlake New Town, a new city development project built by Daewoo E&C in the central area of Hanoi, Vietnam.
Mr An Kuk Jin, President of Daewoo E&C’s THT Development, mentioned, “THT Development has established a roadmap to transform the THT Starlake New Town, located in the center of Hanoi, into Smart City 3.0 standard model in Vietnam by adopting smart city open platform strategy”, and added, “through the partnership with MoMo, Smart City Hub is equipped with a secure and convenient payment system, which is one of the most significant elements in pursuit of Smart City 3.0.”
Mr Nguyen Ba Diep, Co-founder and of MoMo, shared, “Strategic partnership among MoMo, Bespin Global, and THT Development would speed up the development of Smart City in Vietnam. Together, we all wish to bring Vietnamese people a higher level of living environment with new criteria set for Smart City.”
