Artists from the HCMC Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) are preparing to attend Asia Orchestra Week 2014, set for October 3-9 in Tokyo, Japan.
At the event, under the baton of conductor Tran Vuong Thach, they will perform the nocturne entitled “”Echo from the past” for symphony orchestra by composer Do Hong Quan, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.
To prepare for Orchestra Week, a special concert is scheduled for September 29 at the HCMC Opera House through the Youth Melody Programme.
This is the second time the orchestra has been invited to the international event in Japan since its first in 2008.
