According to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), its airport network is expected to handle around 11,000 take-offs and landings, serving more than 1.8 million passengers over the five days starting from August 29.
Domestic passenger volume is projected at 1.1 million, averaging 220,000 per day, up 5 per cent from the August daily average and 10 per cent year-on-year.
The peak day is expected to be August 29, with 1,450 flights and 230,000 domestic passengers.
ACV expects international flights to total around 4,000, averaging 800 per day, up 1-2 per cent from the August 2025 daily average and 10 per cent from the same period of last year.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport is expected to handle 125,000 passengers on National Day, a 6 per cent increase from the current daily average. Traffic on August 30 and September 2 is expected to peak at 750 flights and 130,000 passengers.
Noi Bai is experiencing strong growth, with international passenger numbers on some days projected to approach 44,000, the highest ever. Domestic travel is also set to spike, with the peak day expected to see nearly 110,000 passengers on 638 flights, a 20 per cent increase on-year.
