The bear is provided with the medical check-up by vets from the Four Paws Viet Organisation before being taken to Ninh Binh Bear Sanctuary.

The provincial forest management board contacted Four Paws Viet Organisation to take the bear to Ninh Binh Bear Sanctuary.

According to Vet Marc Gölkel of Four Paws Viet Organisation, the bear is in stable health, except for some dental problems.

Director of the Four Paws Viet Organisation, Ngo Thi Mai Huong, said that the voluntary handover of the bear underlined the partial improvement in public awareness about the need for wild animal protection. She hoped that more Tibetan bears would be rescued and later released into the wild in the coming time.
