According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Viet from Ha Tien International Border Gate’s Border Post, the people are from different localities, including Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Hai Duong, Lao Cai, Lang Son and Dien Bien. Up to 65 were found working at the K99 Group in Preah Sihanouk Province.
The Vietnamese people have returned the country through Ha Tien International Border Gate
So far this year, Ha Tien International Border Gate has received around 700 Vietnamese people rescued from Cambodia.
Viet added that Ha Tien City’s Women Union gave food and drink support to the people.
On October 26-27, more than 800 migrant Vietnamese workers in Cambodia returned to Vietnam through Moc Bai Border Gate in the southwestern province of Tay Ninh. The majority of them had been cheated into illegally working in Cambodia.
