A bomb weighing 350 kilos has been detected at a school in the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien.
The bomb was found at a construction site at Dien Bien Ethnic Minority Boarding School at a depth of two metres on February 25.

Right after being informed, Dien Bien Phu City’s Military Command sent staff to the scene for the check. The MK48 bomb was dropped during the Battle of Dien Bien Phu Battle in the 1950s.
The bomb has been relocated for controlled detonation.
In another incident, a 1.2-metre 120-kilo bomb was found in a garden of a household in the central province of Nghe An’s Yen Thanh District on February 26.
