The unexploded device was found by Ho Thi La in Tang Ky Village, Kim Ngan Commune. Believed to date from the war, the bomb was still fitted with an intact fuse.
Clearance teams from PeaceTrees Vietnam, working alongside the provincial military command, spent more than 2.5 hours manually excavating the site to access and assess the fuse and secure the device.
The bomb was later safely removed and transported to a designated demolition area, eliminating any immediate danger to the family and nearby residents.
