Do Minh, a tour guide, said that the number of travellers crossing into China via the Lao Cai International Border Gate on the second day of the Lunar New Year was significantly higher than the same day in 2024. Despite the crowds and long queues, entry procedures were handled quickly.

Hoang Tuyet, CEO of Top One Travel, said that during the 2024 Lunar New Year, most Vietnamese tourists chose a 3-day, 2-night tour to Honghe Prefecture. However, this year, there has been a surge in bookings for the Kunming-Jiaozi Mountain tour.

Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province, is known for its diverse entertainment and recreational activities, making it a popular destination for travellers.

The price of the Kunming-Jiaozi Mountain tours on regular days is VND5.9 million (USD232,741), while it rises to VND7.7 million on weekends.

Jiaozi Mountain in Kunming, Yunnan, is renowned for its breathtaking snow-covered landscapes during winter. The ideal time to visit is between October and March. At an altitude of 3,500 metres, visitors can witness snow accumulating on tree leaves.
