Trucks carrying coal and chemical fertilizer have been lined up for days along National Road 12C leading to the port in the Vung Ang Economic Zone in Ha Tinh Province.
Meanwhile, no vessels have been able to dock to take goods due to bad weather.

Deputy director of Laos-Vietnam International Port, Pham Quoc Luong, said the locality has been affected by a cold front, causing strong winds and high waves.
"The rough sea has prevented ships from entering the port," Luong said. "These goods have been brought here from Laos and are waiting to be shipped to China and South Korea."
Luong said they would get more people to help load the goods to ease the congestion as soon as vessels can enter the port.
