The Vung Tau Ward People’s Committee announced on April 23 that it had issued a call for local businesses, agencies and organisations to voluntarily open their restroom facilities to tourists at no cost.
Officials said the area has long been a popular destination attracting large numbers of domestic and international visitors.
The initiative aims to promote a cleaner, more civilised and welcoming tourism environment while improving service quality and visitor experience.

Restaurants, shops and other establishments are encouraged to support the scheme by allowing access to existing facilities in a friendly and convenient manner.
Participating venues are also advised to install clearly visible “Free Toilet” signs and maintain clean, well ventilated conditions to leave a positive impression on visitors.
