The Vietnamese Talent Awards will be held at 8pm, November 19 in Hanoi.

Vietnamese Talent Awards was initiated by the Vietnam Study Promotion Association and co-organised by VNPT, Vietnam Television and Dantri/DTiNews online newspaper. The awards were first held in 2005 and have become an annual event.
For the past 11 years, the Vietnamese Talent Awards have become a launch pad for young people, start-up companies and groups.
The Vietnamese Talent Awards 2016 continues to receive attention and help from the Ministry of Information and Communication, the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.
The awards is sponsored by VNPT and other sponsors incluiding Vingroup, Vietcombank, Eco Pharmaceuticals, ABBank, SunGroup and Jetstar Pacific.
The awards have attracted many contestants who are living in Vietnam and overseas. The contestants will compete in five major fields this year.
The Information and Technology field includes three categories: Successfully Applied Products, Promising Products and Applied Products on Mobile Devices. Each category features VND100 million (USD4,400) for first place, VND50 million (USD2,200) and VND30 million (USD1,300) for second and third places. Winners will also be given gifts by the sponsors.
The prize to encourage and promote talent was proposed by the Vietnam Study Promotion Association to encourage talented individuals who studied, researched by themselves and created products that benefit their localities.
The Science and Technology field is awarded to the individual or collective whose research works are successfully used in real life. Each prize is worth VND100m.
The award for Medicine field will also be presented to the individual or collective whose research works are successfully and effectively used in real life. Each prize is worth VND100m.
The Environment field awards individuals, collectives or organisations who have had achievements in protecting the environment such as building green residential areas. The first prize is VND100 million, the second prize is VND50 million and third place is VND30 million.
