According to the department, Hue City is expected to welcome 150,000 tourists and generate total revenue of VND300 billion (USD11.53 million) during the coming Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day holidays.

Tourists in Hue City
The local tourism sector has rolled out co-ordinated plans, urging service providers and businesses to enhance security, ensure environmental cleanliness, maintain food safety, regulate prices, and improve service quality.
Accommodation facilities and tourist sites have been urged to fully prepare personnel and resources and improve service quality and hospitality to accommodate a large wave of tourists coming to the city for this holiday.
To address the issue of inflated prices, the Department of Tourism has co-operated with concerned agencies to intensify inspections. Any violators will be strictly fined.
The department has also announced the hotline at 0234.3828288 to quickly receive feedback and concerns from locals and visitors for support.
From April 29 to May 2, Hue will host the Hue-Capital of Gastronomy programme featuring regional culinary showcases, tasting experiences, a 3D food exhibition with AR technology, and fruit carving displays. Highlights include traditional Hue dishes like beef noodle soup, royal salted rice, and Van Cu vermicelli.
The programme will attract as many as 68 food stalls from different localities nationwide.
