Vietnam earns USD1.1 billion from exporting mobile phones

Vietnam earned USD1.1 billion from exporting mobile phones and components in the first two months of the year, said the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

In the first two months of the year, Vietnam earned USD1.1 billion from exporting mobile phones and components, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).

The MoIT said that this figure equivalent to that of garment and textile exports has contributed to raising the export turnover of the processing industrial group to more than USD9.75 billion (up 42.1 percent).

Of the fuel and minerals group, coal exports saw a record rise of 34.5 percent in volume but a decrease of 29 percent in value from a year earlier.
