An exhibition showing most outstanding modern artworks by the most talented artists in Vietnam is on display at the Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts.
“Pho” or Street by Bui Xuan Phai
The collection by Thai artist Tira Vanichtheeranont gives a brief look at Vietnam during the wartime.
Most artworks are oil-paintings and water-colours by famous artists who established the foundation for the preservation of Vietnam’s painting culture including To Ngoc Van, Tran Van Can, Nguyen Sang and Bui Xuan Phai.
The exhibitions showing over 50 works with the most outstanding being a set of 13 works illustrating the story of Kieu created by 13 painters from the Indochina College of Fine Arts in 1942.
The exhibition lasts from December 20-26.
