Free rides to be offered for workers on Tet
Workers in difficult circumstances will be given free bus, train or air tickets to return home for the 2024 Tet Lunar New Year.
According to the vice chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Phan Van Anh, the beneficiaries will include people who have experienced occupational accidents, occupational diseases, severe illnesses, natural disasters, reduced working hours and job loss or those who have been unable to return to their hometown for Tet for many years.
Trade unions will present gifts for labourers on Tet.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour will also hold Tet Trade Union Markets nationwide through e-commerce platforms to provide essential products and goods for workers at preferential prices.
The trade union of all levels needs to co-operate with concerned agencies to supervise businesses in bonus and salary payment on Tet.
