Hai Duong to launch food street on Reunification Day
The northern province of Hai Duong has planned to pilot Tue Tinh Food Street on the upcoming Reunification Day April 30 and May Day holiday.
The Tue Tinh Food Street in Binh Han Ward in Hai Duong City will introduce the culture and specialities of the province. The street plan is intended to deal with the illegal pavement encroachment that affects Tue Tinh Street.
Under the Hai Duong City proposal, the food street will be divided into two areas. The first starting from the intersection with Dien Bien Phu Street to Tran Nguyen Han Street has 50 service business households. The second, the intersection with Tran Nguyen Han Street to Ngo Quyen Street currently has no business households and has room for new services.
The street is scheduled to open from 6pm until midnight every Friday and holidays.
Vice chairman of the provincial people’s committee Luu Van Ban asked Hai Duong City to create favourable conditions for residents and businesses to operate on the food street. Traffic safety, food hygiene and safety, fire prevention and fighting regulations need to be ensured.
