Pedestrian bridge to open across HCM City's most beautiful canal
The pedestrian bridge spanning the Nhieu Loc-Thi Nghe Canal in HCM City's District 1 central tourist area is set to open before the New Year 2024 Holiday.
The nearly 100-metre bridge is two metres wide and connects Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street in District 1 with Truong Sa Street in Binh Thanh District.
This first pedestrian bridge over the canal will be more convenient for local people and tourists and serve as a landmark in the area.
The Nhieu Loc-Thi Nghe River runs nearly 10 kilometres through districts 1, and 3, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, and Tan Binh before reaching the Saigon River. After being upgraded 10 years ago, it has become the most beautiful canal in the city.
