According to the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, activities will take place at East Sea Park, Son Tra Peninsula and major beaches including Phuoc My, My An, My Khe and Nguyen Tat Thanh.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 5pm on April 25 at East Sea Park, with art and music performances launching a series of summer events. Beachfront areas will host art installations, kite displays and nightly music shows throughout the festival.
Highlights include new attractions such as an international pizza festival, rice-based ice cream workshops, a beach water fight on April 30 and Son Tra Walking Day on May 1.
Water sports including flyboarding, jet skiing, parasailing and sailing will be available from the opening day. The sea swimming race Across the Summer Waves is set for April 27, while an international lifeguard competition will take place on April 29 and April 30.
Community activities include a Say No to Plastic Waste campaign on April 26, alongside Vietnamese cuisine spaces, beer zones and family-friendly programmes.
A Chinese chess tournament, Ky Vuong Xu Quang, will be held on Son Tra Peninsula on May 1 and May 2.
The event is expected to attract visitors and reinforce Danang’s position as a leading coastal destination for summer 2026.
