Tran Dang Nhu Quynh, 24, is currently suffering from a series of serious medical conditions, including heart failure, pulmonary embolism, hyperthyroidism, sepsis and systemic lupus erythematosus. In addition, she lost the use of her legs following a traffic accident in 2022.
Quynh is a final-year student at a medical vocational school in Ho Chi Minh City. Her family faces serious financial hardship. Her father is unemployed after his woodworking shop was forced to shut down, and the family of four now relies solely on her mother, Dang Hong Le, who earns a modest income as a tailor.
Following the publication of Quynh’s story on Dantri at the end of May, many readers contributed to support her medical treatment.
In addition to over VND 185 million (approximately USD 7,270) donated through Dantri, her mother, Dang Hong Le, received around VND 48 million (approximately USD 1,880) directly via her bank account from generous readers and donors.

Receiving the donations, Le expressed deep gratitude for the support: “Our family is deeply moved by the help from Dantri readers. We are going through very difficult times, and Quynh is suffering from multiple serious illnesses. This financial support is incredibly meaningful and gives us renewed hope.”
According to Le, Quynh’s health worsened shortly after the article was published. She has since been admitted to Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital in District 5, where she is currently under close medical supervision and receiving treatment.
